I've had teachers and colleagues go with Jennifer LastInitial, Jennifer LastName, random assignments of Jennifer/Jenn/Jenny, or just telling us that the 2-4 of us needed to come up with some way of having us all be called different things and let teacher know when we'd worked it out. I understood why and it never occurred to me to be offended. It was a logistical issue, not a commentary on my identity.
At least Jennifer has peaked. This is second year I have not had a Jennifer. The last Jennifer I had three years ago was from El Salvador where English names like Jennifer and Jonathan are very popular currently. It’s been a decade since I had more than one Jennifer.
