Funny, I always feel like Rice is SO underrated. But I agree on NYU.
Rice has been good for a long time. It even preceded Duke's academic ascent. Vandy was kind of a rich, southern school that only relatively recently became super selective. I recall it having SAT scores well below UVA and W&M.
