It’s happening folks! When your school starts cutting programs and extra perks it’s because they’re now LOSING our money (yeah us annoying uncouth public school parents). See how things go for you now!
I sincerely doubt the HOS begged you to stay. If they did, it's the kind of private school you should have never enrolled your child in to begin with.
Well it’s one of the ones people on here talk about A LOT.
This person is a fake.

Wow you have really got some serious issues. Seek help, medication.
Seriously...gloating about cutting programs for other kids? What a loser.
I am not gloating. I'm listing it as an example of a benefit you will lose. Privates were ALREADY having problems after COVID and us enrolling and then unenrolling is going to make things even worse. If they had opened by now, we would have just waited out the year but these private schools are acting like cowards and dragging parents along for this slow ride toward re-opening. Waste of time and so not worth it! No private school is. So glad our kids can rejoin their neighborhood friends for long MCPS lunches and other fun activities instead of staring at strangers on a screen all day long.![]()

Anonymous wrote:Perhaps some of the smaller schools are worried but the mainstays, the schools in the top 20-30? Nah, no way are they worried. They will have wait lists and more applicants than spots no matter what. Here is why: the money doesn't matter for most private parents.
We're not making our choices for schooling based on how much it costs. I know it is a hard concept to grasp for a lot of people who choose public but our family and those of our friends and family are choosing the private schools we choose because of our perception of benefits that make it worth the cost.
The fact that a public school system is reopening does not make even one iota of a difference for our family. And I can tell you point blank that the three private schools in which our children are enrolled won't even blink when MCPS or some other system reopens. It will not make a difference in their student population at all.

Nope! Did monthly contract for this very reason. We'll walk and see if they come after us. And no, we don't feel guilty. We pressed them on their re-opening plans and they were intentionally misleading to get us to enroll. Let them come after us. My husband's a lawyer - I'm not afraid.
Ew. Your poor kid

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Ok lets break this down dcum. If poster is not a troll. What private school in moco (dcum) does monthly contracts and put out language to open in November?
My guess is OP meant they did the 10 month payment plan so they haven’t paid all that much yet and just plan to stop making payments.
Oh okay. I thought good credit was a thing but I don't know how nonpayment works. Unless its tuition insurance.

People keep trotting out this dumb theory but where will people get the flu? No one is traveling and everyone who is not traveling is wearing masks.Keep paying for that expensive a$$ DL y’all. The private schools are about to get scooped by MCPS. Who’d have thunk it??
Apparently you are not paying attention. They will get the flu just like any other year. Many many people are not wearing masks. I went top pick up dinner in Gaithersburg/ Rockville last night walking around Rio lake the number of old white guys not wearing masks was astounding. Kids were, many others were.
