Work. He was in the department next to mine and was also singing when he walked through the newsroom. We had similar backgrounds and a ton in common. And it always helps when you do the same work and have similar mindsets. Married 30 years.

We lived next door to each other our freshman year of college (co-ed dorm). We became friends right away and by spring of our freshman year we were in a relationship. Been together ever since...17.5 years. Our relationship has always been solid but gets even better with age. I think often about how lucky we were to have met. We’re both pretty introverted and don’t have big social circles. I doubt we would’ve met/gotten together/been outgoing enough to pursue each other if we hadn’t been neighbors-friends first.

We met in a class in college. Been together 23 years, 19th wedding anniversary is coming up.
