This qualifies as news outside of a student newspaper? The basic issue is that the University hadn't cleaned the quarantine room and didn't help her move her crap. Everyone should have known that if you test positive, you will spend two weeks in quarantine. Life can be unfair. Deal with it.

Yes, but there could be people who tested negative when they arrived but are actually positive and I don’t think they’ll capture those people with such a small number of post-arrival testing. I hope they make it work,but that does seem like a flaw to me.

Classes haven't started at UMich yet and move in is just starting today.

My kid’s liberal arts college did only mail-in testing, not move-in testing, so they boasting having zero positives at move-in They *might* do asymptomatic testing. My kid is doing remote. I don’t think they have a dashboard. The college is a good fit otherwise so my kid will still go eventually.

Juniata college...so far

I'm rooting for Juniata, but their COVID tracker shows that they only did 38 tests in the past 7 days. I know it's a small school, but that doesn't seem like enough.

Inaccurate. The University of Michigan Ann Arbor isn’t open yet, although students who live off campus may be back in town. Students are just beginning to move into dorms today. Classes start a week from today, and 70% of them are virtual.

Kids began moving into dorms over the weekend.
