Beatrice is not odd. It's made a comeback without being over used.
My friend was stationed in Japan, and most of the English speaking Japanese people thought her name was pronounced beat rice.
I think that's hilarious. But still love the name Beatrice.

OP here. Yes, Dot is short for Dorothy, but I wasn't sure if Beatrice Dorothy was too much of a mouthful.
