DS 13 - 6'0 should be between 6'7" - 6'9"
DS 11 - 5'4" should be between 6'5" - 6'7"
DS 8 - 5'1" should be between 6'9" - 6'10"
My 14 year old is 6’5 and he’s praying he’s done—his take is that if he gets any taller, he’s crossing over into special accommodations zone—can’t buy regular shoes or clothes, won’t fit into a lot of cars, won’t fit into plane seats, etc.
There are lifelong problems from being too tall. My daughter’s estimated height is 5’9” and I hope for her sake that she doesn’t get taller than that.
5’9”? You are super dramatic.
Why? I don’t care if my opinion is not popular but women over 5’9” can be awkward looking, too big. Obviously not everyone shares this view.
Yup, all the models are crying themselves to sleep every night because some dorky, insecure, middle aged mom thinks they’re awkward looking.
The dramatic part was your assertion that there are “lifelong problems” BTW.
dp.. but how many tall women are models?
How many tall women have lifelong problems?
It’s a known fact they have more knee and back problems
Truth
Yea, DD is having knee and ankle problems. She is almost 5'7", and her legs are very long. DH is tall, also has long legs and has back issues, as did his mother who was also tall with long legs.
Anonymous wrote:I’m 5’5 and my DH husband is 6’0. Our oldest daughter (13) is likely done growing based on puberty and is 5’0. Our youngest daughter is 9 with no onset signs of puberty and is 4’9. I think she has a lot more height left in her before she’s done growing.
My dad and brother are 6’4 and my sister is 5’11 so genetics are certainly in favor of a taller than average height.

Anonymous wrote:How tall are your kids and how tall are you? I read somewhere that you can estimate how tall your kids final height by taking girls height at 2 and doubling it and boys height at 2.5 and doubling it. That would put my girls at 5’8” tall full grown. Not sure about my son but at 4 months old he was already 28”. DH is 5’9ish and I am 5’7. I am wondering if it’s possible DS will be over 6’ tall. He is right now huge. 5 months old, 21lbs and just about 30” and in 12-18 month clothes. We do have tall genes in our fall. My brother is over 6’ tall and some of DH’s uncles are well over 6’. Just curious.
