At least three teams have dropped in 07 from original list. I haven’t examined all of the age groups but assuming more.

Agreed. There is an inevitability about all of this that people just do not want to face. Like the WaPo this morning on vaccines not necessarily working. If that's true, why on earth would more lockdowns make any sense? Just deferring herd immunity, incurring crushing debt for generations to come, and destroying lives, physical and mental health in the interim while pushing off herd immunity and preventing your kids from developing intellectual and socially. Sounds great!

Dense much? We just need smart people to connect the dots. If you are going top re-open and idiots are going to ignore protocols then we will be forced to return to a lock-down. Yes, this is inevitable but we don't need to make it worse by being idiots. Wear a mask and socially distance. It is not rocket science. It just seems problematic that states that are considered hot-spots are allowed to play in the tournament against teams from districts where residents are advised not to visit those hot spots.

I can assuredly do laps around you. I understand all that. You are missing the bigger picture. You are essentially saying we should lock down to avoid lockdowns. There is certainly a logic in that line of thinking that appeals to a lot of idiots. So you are not alone. I wear masks and abide by social distancing rigorously. This has nothing to do with that nonsense.

I am not willing to let DC and NYC dictate how the rest of us are allowed to live. We all get to have a say as well. You are free to follow their guidelines. We have all been wearing masks in indoor public places for months.

The issue is not that DC is dictating anything. The issue is that DC advised its residents to avoid DE and NC and that anyone traveling to DC from DE and NC need ti quarantine. There are teams /players from DC, DE and NC that will play each other at JefCup. Does that make any sense? It is just an observation of how we are where we are.
