So what happened last night?
I thought the authorization was given.

Oh my god, you pathetic piece of trash. I already busted you lying about this on another thread that got deleted 5 minutes ago. Are you a bot or a Trumper? You’re lying to incite fear.
For everyone’s information this poster already tried scaring people by telling them that the Georgetown BID sent out an email telling businesses that looters were on the way to Georgetown. Except this vile THUG didn’t expect that someone else would also be a BID member and bust their fake news. Here is what the BID email actually says word for word:
Dear Georgetown BID Members,
MPD just informed us that a large group of protestors, accompanied by police, is headed into Georgetown. They are peacefully protesting and we hope it remains this way, but please be aware.
Why would a large group of protesters head to Georgetown? It’s a hike from the White House and mostly known for retail, not government. I would certainly be upset if I had a business there.

Go lay down then.
Lie down, dear.

I'm all for protesting, as long as it's peaceful. Why is looting OK?
Exactly No One anywhere has said that "looting" is okay. But you know that already, right?

Both actions were wrong. Burning down that police department was stupid and criminal. This is why some people stop listening to protesters. They think burning a city down is ok. I’m white and I care very deeply about what happened to George Floyd and the many other black victims, but the scene that night was just a reason for some whites and blacks to commit criminal acts. It’s wrong. George Floyd’s family said it many times. I donate to gofundme accounts, like George’s to be helpful. But it sickens me to see cities destroyed when that just causes more division. Trump is to blame for the Lafayette shit show.
Are you being intentionally obtuse or are you this dense in real life? Protesters aren't the ones looting. Protesting and looting are not the same thing.
You cannot say, with certainty, that no protesters were looting. Grow up.
Would it make you feel better if we found that one protester was looting? Would that help justify your desire to stop listening to protesters altogether or wanting them to stop protesting altogether? If one politician is found to be corrupt should we dismantle our government altogether? If one doctor's bad behavior kills a patient should we close the entire hospital system down? Are you listening to yourself and your reasoning?

Lots of protestors were looting.
If you were to ask an arrested looter, they would say that they went downtown to protest.
There is only a very small subset of looters who came in to loot. Just look at MPD's published arrest records.
