"Cuomo made a hard decision, to spare the lives of hundreds of thousands of potential younger victims at the expense of a relative few older ones. That’s called LEADERSHIP. Look it up. It’s what leaders do.
He knew if hospitals released positive patients into the general public that they’d infect many, many others. So he placed them in nursing homes, knowing there’d be fewer people for them to come in contact with... but also knowing that the people they did infect would have potentially have worse outcomes. He was faced with having to sacrifice older people, who’d already lived full lives, in order to save younger people who haven’t yet.
That was a HEROIC decision on his part. If he didn’t put CV patients in nursing homes, thousand me of people wouldve been infected. He prevented that.
