Yes, this is ludicrous. He was a successful musician and producer in his own right. VERY successful. He certainly didn't have to "take" her money.

Maybe she was implying that he was controlling?

I think it's quite possible that she just invested all of her money in this marriage/kids, without really paying attention what's "hers" (super-model money). She felt secure/safe and he was probably in-charge. Laid back people like this usually assume everyone else is like them, especially their partners that they know so well.

It was really a dick move on his part. He left 2 women with his children. He left his previous wife for a 19 year old!

She must’ve earned a lot of money in her career. I’m sure she is not broke by any means. Just not as rich as she’d like to be.

I knew one of his good friends from Boston and he was considered a narcissist and controlling according to my friend.

I think the thing that struck me as odd is that his death was a shock. It was unexpected.

But I can see why having the kids there to say goodbye to him privately was a good thing for that family. I suppose Paulina was well aware what a circus it would be once the news of his death got out there.

And he certainly was under no obligation to leave a dime to his soon to be ex wife who had LEFT him and was seeing another man.

I don't think he was bitter. He realized that his marriage was over and decided to update his will and maybe establish trusts for his kids before he had surgery.

Why should he have left a dime to Paulina? I get that she's entitled to her half of the marital assets and I am assuming that there had already been some sort of financial agreement between them when they legally separated.

Paula has pretty much admitted that she left Ric because he had gotten old. I mean...why would he leave her anything?
