I am a Julie (posted previously). I was born in the early 70s and I was 35 before I met another Julie. I'm not kidding. I guess the popularity depended on where one grew up. I was named for my grandmother though so the popular factor was nil in my family.
just curious where you grew up that Julie/Julia were NOT common names? Just odd
That said, I was a 70s Shannon who grew up on the East Coast with a bazillion other Shannons. Then I ran across someone on a message board (not this one) from TX who said she never knew another until she moved elsewhere.
