Total bullshit. Single men "take care of themselves" just fine.
Men get married because they want sex and affection. Tragically this usually dries up after a few years when the woman gets bored and knows that now she's got him hooked, she doesn't have to provide sex and there's nothing he can do about it unless he wants to give her half his shit.
The difference in remarriage rate is due to the difference in attractiveness. Older men remain attractive, so they can get remarried. Older women, not so much.
I think for women with enough income to support themselves comfortably, they may not see value in getting married again.
Women end up doing more of the home work anyway and now you have to adjust to another person’s preferences and whims again. What’s the point?

Their market value keeps increasing. If they are handsome and make good money, they can sleep with so many women and never have to endure a dead bedroom.
They can get companionship and validation through various friends with benefits type arrangements.
Why even put up with marriage?

And how common is your situation exactly?
More common than you think. Most of my female friends make the same amount if not more than their husbands. Believe it when I say we are not married out of some desperation as you’d like to believe.

A lie.

Marriage is a shit deal for men. Excellent deal for women.
I would say it is the reverse. Now it is a terrible deal for women.
Ha, exactly. Marriage is by far a shit deal for women who have a career. I make twice as much as my husband. I don’t need him for security.
