Another person missing the point. This is a thread about Democrats not identifying with current Dem candidates & their ideology. Many many Democrats would be in this category. This is not a thread about Democrats who like Trump. Every democrat I know hates Trump, but that doesn’t mean they like Bernie Sanders/AOC platform either.
This is me. I don't like Trump, but I REALLY don't like the Sanders/AOC/Harris platform at all. Ten hour school days from Kamala Harris? No thanks.
Interestingly, many of my Jewish/Israeli friends who always tended to vote Democratic are re-thinking their position in the Democratic party. Can you blame them?
We older Democrats who voted for Hillary see the Rolling Stone cover with Pelosi and Omar and AOC. That lets people know, loud and clear, where the Democratic party wants to go, and who it wants to leave behind.
That was having aftercare at schools. Pay attention.
Paid for by whom?
My niece’s elementary school Compacted Math class in MCPS has 38 kids in it. Yep, 38. And they can’t split it up because there are not enough ‘resources’.
And you want my sister to pay extra in taxes for universal aftercare?
This is why the Democrat candidate for governor lost in Maryland last election. The Democrat wanted universal preK despite the fact that schools are already overcrowded and over-utilized. You consider that ‘financially conservative’?

Don’t worry about me. I’m paying attention.

Yes! I miss sane Republicans too. Where did they go? Why are they silent? There are many Republicans out there who haven’t gone bananas, why do they sit back and watch this happen to their party?

No, disproportionate results in a population is not de facto racism.
Please expound upon your thought of “this craziness over transgender and race”.
Anonymous wrote:It sounds like you liked Democrats when their programs benefited you, but then when you were comfortable you liked Republicans because you don’t want to pay taxes or support programs that help other people. You don’t really care about the country or about anyone or anything except what you get personally. You are a typical suburban of a certain generation.

Ok, boomer.
