It didn’t rain until my kids were asleep.

(and yes, I know many homes won't be "trick-or-treat ready" at 5, so you might have to skip some houses).

Don't come to our neighborhood at 5 pm because nobody is home. I turn light on from 7 pm to 9 pm.

Glad I don’t live there! Our neighborhood is full of families and everyone leaves work early on Halloween. The annual street “parade” is at 5pm.

+1 by 7 pm, we are almost finished trick or treating!

Thats a public event for stores etc, not houses.

Also, it's sprinkling now and tomorrow at ToT time likely won't be any worse. Everyone needs to calm down.

Are you a meteorologist? Why are you so certain it’s just a sprinkle?

Just heard Jason Samenow on WAMU. He said strong thunderstorms and damaging heavy winds between 7-11pm, although exact timing isn’t yet certain.

Does anyone from Glover Park know if the parade is still going to be held, and what time?

Good Lord. OP, simply asked for other options. Not sure why some people are so invested in trying to convince her she doesn’t need them.

Also, weather channel is saying strong thunderstorms.

If you're trick or treating at 10pm you may have an issue.

Correct. Thought that was pretty obvious?

Then just keep your kids home. No one will miss them!
