Nancy has no choice. In her line of work, she had to pay attention to looking put-together or the knives come out. Not much different than your garden-variety Hollywood celebrity.

i don’t GAF about those Trump chicks this a big middle finger to the many many many threads here from women who won’t/don’t dye or use makeup and insist that those women who do groom and are fashionably dresses cannot possibly be taken seriously in the workplace.

That seems backwards. What I usually see is people saying you HAVE to do these things to be taken seriously. What I object to is the idea that a woman would have to wear heels or worry about hair and makeup when so often males look like doody.

The fact is, if Nancy didn't do these things, people like you would be on here slinging the barbs about how old and frumpy she looked.

Haha, I was just wondering how she got the time to do her hair everyday... She is disciplined.

I just noticed this forum. I see Nancy Pelosi every single day Congress is in session on my way to work in the morning. I walk to work and live in Georgetown. Nancy gets her hair done every day in the morning. Makes my day to see 2 or more huge Secret Service guys with buds in their ears and their black SUVs waiting for Nancy. That is power! Go Nancy! I love her and her power. For anyone who is 79 -- she looks fabulous. People would be blind to say otherwise.

True, but I also believe great-looking women like NP also re-evaluate/ get updated advice from time to time, changes and adjustments are needed as time goes by and we and our environment changes...

I think we all see some women who were hot and "in" 20-30 years ago still trying to rock that style and it looks dated at best...

Yeah, but she tends to stick with the timeless classics so her overall look is just tweaked a bit to keep it fresh. She's not completely having to reinvent her look every time the wind blows a different direction.

Or worse the women who think they can wear in their 50s and 60/ what the 20 somethings are wearing. Update, yes, but the fashions of the very youthful look clownish and only look good by dint of the fact that it’s young beautiful people wearing them.

I don’t think so. It looks thinning and receding as expected for her age if you look near her part and hairline. I think there is a great deal of backcombing, hairspray, and smoothing involved in styling her hair.

I will respectfully disagree. If they want to never go gray that is 100% their call. I'm in my 50's and I don't see me going gray anytime soon.

I think Nancy's hair looks great (she doesn’t usually have those stripes), but the line between “believable” and “GTFOH” with hair coloring in one’s 50s and beyond is delicate. I’m assuming you do too, but Nancy pays handsomely for believable hair color and most late colorers do not.

Well, if you have a choice between evening out the gray in your hair or covering the gray altogether with a darker color you should just choose whatever is right for you.

Gray is not a good color for my skin tone so I am going to continue to dye my hair my natural color which compliments my eyes and goes with the shade of my eyebrows - which, for whatever reason, are still my natural brown color. The box color does not have the dimension and highlights of my regular hair - it's a flatter more one dimensional color. But I don't feel confident adding highlights to my hair and I, quite frankly, don't trust the majority of hairstylists out there to highlight my colored hair. If I could afford Nancy's stylist (and knew who they are) I would use her stylist.
