Anonymous wrote:It is hard to argue who is #1. Bethesda ECNL might end up as the best team by the end of the year but even in their case, unless they beat several good DA teams, it will be hard to make the case but if they beat PDA, it will be hard to argue differently. I believe PDA hammered FCV ina winter showcase.

Mclean: 4 wins in 4 games, 12 goals scored, 2 goals allowed, goal difference +10. They look like the team to beat so far in Mid Atlantic ECNL.
Will have to wait until the Spring for FCV to play Arlington and Bethesda 05 to play any ECNL games.
Unfortunately, Bethesda is not in the same ECNL division as the others mentioned above so there is no immediate head to head results. The other two are DA programs. It is harder to judge their relative strength because they rarely play against each other or against other local competition. I believe FCV won't play Arlington until Spring, although one would expect that FCV will not have too hard of a time against Arlington. Last year, FCV beat Arlington in U15 age group 5-2 and 5-0. Arlington did tie them 2-2 once, but overall it is not difficult to tell which of the two clubs had a stronger team.
Arlington did beat Baltimore Armour this weekend and plays Metro United Oct 5.
It is going to be very difficult to compare the relative strengths of top DA team, top Mid Atlantic ECNL team, and Bethesda ECNL team.
McLean and Bethesda may get to play in Discovery Cup
Ok so FCV is number 1
But who is number 2 McLean, Bethesda, Arlington, or Metro United?
I’m more confused not less now that Arlington and Metro played.
