Does anyone remember Summit candy bars? They are my favorite candy bar of all time. I also miss Samoas and Trefoils WITH the trans fats; the current versions are nowhere near as delicious.

These ones:

I loved those!! They had a very distinct taste and texture. Almost gritty, but not in a bad way. Not chewy really. I miss those.

Perfect description! I'm assuming we're a bunch of 50-somethings who miss these.

Bring Back the Breakfast Bar!

Hey - I am only 49. But I love how the descriptions are so spot on.

I'm 32 and remember these, and agree that they were awesome. I'm sure they're really just a candy bar disguised as a breakfast food, hence their deliciousness.

I’m 45 and loved them. I used to take one to school and take bites throughout the morning when I went to my locker. A boy with a locker near mine would often ask for some. He later committed suicide in 9th grade and I was always glad I shared my dumb breakfast bar with him. May have made an otherwise bleak time a smidge more tolerable. I still look for them occasionally. I also liked the variety packs of carnation instant breakfast when they had the varying coffee flavors. Those were my favorite but the variety packs Only have chocolate now, I think. I never buy them since i don’t love the chocolate enough to spend the money. My perfect pack would have strawberry, vanilla and all the coffee flavors.

We used to haul beer cans back to the corner store and return them and get bags and bags of penny candy. God love my friends alcoholic dad.
