Probably bc no matter what decision they make, they will hear shit from crazies like you. So they don’t want to make a decision yet. Chill out. It’s not like we need to know right this second what the calendar will be for 2020-2021!

The first option, starting two weeks prior to Labor Day, still didn’t have the kids getting out of school until the second week of June. We currently get out of school this year in the second week, but only started one week prior to Labor Day. I wrote that in the comment section. If we start two weeks before Labor Day, then we should be out the first week in June.
Doesn't it really depend on when Labor Day falls?
This year Labor Day is September 2, so one week before Labor Day is Monday August 26. Next year Labor Day is September 7, so two weeks before Labor Day is Monday August 24. School ends on Friday June 12, 2020 when the start is 8/26/19. If the start is 8/24/20, doesn't it stand to reason that school would end on Thursday June 10, 2021?
If school started two weeks before Labor Day and Labor Day fell on September 2, meaning an August 19 school start, then yes it would make sense for school to end the first week of June. But this is not the case in 2020.
Thank you, this makes sense. Except I could have sworn the end date was June 11 when start date was Aug. 24.

Nothing was set regarding the 2020-21 calendar. If you read this thread, you'll see that there was a survey well into the month of May. No decisions would have been made at an April meeting.
