I have no kid at VDA but in my eyes the only thing that will hold VDA back is the battle between ECNL and DA. VDA has excellent feeder clubs and coaches. They will put out strong teams going forward. And that is a good thing for NoVA

Ummm. VDA was the Spirit VA/MU before they left. Bottom dwellers that couldn't win. The 06 age group seems to be ok. But above that, they were very close to even against Spirit/MU in Feb.. actually losing several age groups.

The vda teams get better as they get younger. It’s been discussed at length. This thread hasnt been posted on in weeks but some sad mu parent revived it because their DD did not make VDA even though she played for one of the feeders. VDA getting better at younger age groups has very little to do with the platform and a lot to do with player retention/recruitment and coaching.

Good luck to MU in the DA playoffs this summer.

Another idiot DA recruitment hit job. Why cant you all just STFU and add something of value?

Stop comparing club to club. Idiots do that. Like most morons HERE posting self serving propaganda. Pick an age group and compare team to team. That's all that matters. BRYC have some non-sucessful teams but some good ones as well. BRYC 06 players are not BRYC 03 players...get it. VDA 03 team is not VDA 04 team. Get it?

Do better

Rough spring for the overrated 05/06 teams. I’m glad this hypetrain died. How many players left for DA?

He’s on US Soccer Board. That has nothing to do with the GDA.

US Club Soccer is the parent organization of ECNL and NPL.

As far as being on the US Soccer Board, gee, I mean I don't know what possible affiliation US Soccer has with US Soccer Development Academy.

Nothing in the article said he is leaving his post with US Club Soccer. If anything, perhaps US Soccer just became a little more inclusive.

It sounds they’re out of ECNL now.

They were not one of the best teams in DA and now they are among the best in ECNL. So I'm not so sure about the competition part you speak of.

Sounds like VDA is heading back to GDA.

Strongly doubt that.

Really? The guy leaves his post at ECNL and joins US Soccer and you don't think they would go back to DA?

I'm not saying VDA will put the girls back in VDA but it is pretty clear that the boys program is most certainly not going to ECNL now.

BUT, if VDA girls do end up back in DA it shouldn't be a surprise.
