I do not have any living children. I've lost two pregnancies-- one very early in my first trimester, and my daughter later in my pregnancy.

I would still like to have a child, but I am struggling with infertility, (I am not investigating adoption at this time) so I am predicting that I will not have any living children.

I always wanted one daughter and always knew I would adopt her. I did. (Age 40.)

3 years later I met the most wonderful man I'd ever known. I married him six months later and eventually adopted his 2 boys.

A roller coaster!-- from daughter and me to household full of kids (and a husband I never thought I would have an interest in looking for).

we make ok money and two kids are expensive. Can’t imagine raising 4 in this area.

DH and I both wanted 4-5 when we got married.

After we had one, we realized two was plenty!

Thought about a 5th but it’s too late now. Sticking with 4.

I wanted 5 kids. I grew up as an only child and was jealous of the kids that had siblings. I just had one kid and will not be having anymore.

I knew I wanted to be a mother, quite desperately. Envisioned an “ideal” family with three kids when I was young and single. Felt very fortunate to get pregnant easily and give birth to a healthy baby. At no time did the feelings of yearning return. My motherhood cup is full. I never felt the pull, the yearning, the daydreams of a different family as my child grew. On rare occasions I feel wistful about the snuggly baby time in my life, or think about what we would name another child. But I know in my heart and in my gut that I don’t want to do it again. I don’t feel like someone is missing or that our family is incomplete.
