So I do not see why people on all sides can’t at least agree a shutdown is not good.

People have bills due now.

Reading comprehension?

DP. Writing comprehension, apparently

Another day of shutdown, another easy commute into DC! Keep up the good work Speaker Pelosi, no complaints here!

This isn't about the Wall at all. It's about DJT trying to rally his base as he tries to psychologically cope with the tsunami of sh#t he's about to eat.

Possibly. But I don't think McConnell will let the shutdown go on much longer. Holidays are over, time to get back to work, time for the government to get back to working.

McConnell is about to eat the same tsunami of sh#t as Trump. They are joined at the hip - they rise & fall together. That's why McConnell is playing politics with this; he's trying to save his own and his family's asses. He will sacrifice 800,000 Fed for his own family's fortune. Seriously.

His China family?

(That political ad was my fave! Crazy times we live in.)

Good lord, what kind of asshole town do YOU live in?

That PP is a piece of trash misogynist troll. Their anecdata is contrary to every studied report on food aid.

Nah. Those are our backpack guidelines too.

Americans are pointing the finger at President Trump more than congressional Democrats as a partial government shutdown heads into its second week.

In a new The Hill-HarrisX poll released Monday, only 22 percent of registered voters surveyed blamed Democrats for the shutdown, while 42 percent said President Trump was to blame. One-third of voters said that both parties in Congress and the president were all equally responsible.

The government has been shut down since Dec. 22 when President Trump said he would not sign a spending bill that did not provide his requested $5 billion in funding for a border wall. Democrats have offered $1.3 billion for border security.

Normally, each party tries to point the finger at the other over budgetary impasses, but the president complicated that strategy for Republicans during an extraordinary Dec. 11 White House meeting with Speaker-designate Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.).

The best thing for Democrats to do is to let Trump talk as much as possible. He is digging his own grave.

Mothers in poverty are the ones going hungry in families. They don’t steal food from their kids. Your anecdotal info is fantasy.
