But if someone in fact has been committing residency fraud, they deserve a prison sentence and to pay full restituon.
correction...if you have nothing to hide and you can afford a layer.
Why would you need to hire a lawyer to show paystubs, utility bills, or other basic information to show residency --- if you actually live where you are supposed to.
Helloooooooooooooo
I can't tell if you agree with me or are (somehow) trying to mock my response.
I agree with you. It's so obvious, I couldn't resist the Hellooooo. Sorry.

Kids in foster care have the right to continue attending school at their usual school even if placed outside their attendance area.
Schools cannot deny enrollment to homeless students, and a student who becomes homeless and is temporarily staying outside the attendance area is entitled to remain in the school.
And if a kid is in foster care or is homeless, it's nobody's business.
Exactly.
So OP's kids are in neither of those categories.
OP simply feels entitled to move around as she pleases, including using living in random airbnbs and renting MD cars and having absolutely no one question her, because, hey, she is more special than everyone else in the waitlist.
The posts in this thread are really disappointing. The nearly complete lack of compassion being demonstrated is incredible. Do you think the OP wanted to move out of her home? Do you think she was taking some sort of vacation? Entitlement is not being forced to flee your home and then becoming the object of gossip and innuendo. Entitlement is being able to live with such little apathy that you believe someone in that situation might think of themselves as "special".

Everyone who uses public school is freeloading to some extent...your taxes don't cover the full cost of your kids' educations. Should everyone be charged their full portion and should people who pay local taxes supporting these schools get refunds if they don't use them?
Listen, I don't agree with sending kids out of district when it is not permitted, but I hardly think it is a serious crime. Where we should be focusing our energies, money, and time is in making schools better everywhere by investing in top quality teachers (pay the good ones double) and getting rid of unions.
OP - It is awful anyone did this to you.
Please tell me you don't believe that. That's a ridiculous comparison.
