Not sure, but is Suarez the charter school fan? Look at the disclosure form with the donations from the charter school group -
http://cfreports.sbe.virginia.gov/Report/ScheduleA/146579?page=3 and http://cfreports.sbe.virginia.gov/Report/ScheduleA/147368 .
That’s a ton of cash for this job. Looks like most of the money he’s received.

JH will get accredited when the demographics of the school change, plain and simple - and it will happen overnight.
It doesn't bother you that the poor black kids who aren't learning will continue to be ignored once the rich white kids are forced in there and artificially bolster scores, thus, giving the impression that all kids are learning equally?
That's great- you will fit in perfectly with all the other virtue signalling liberals there.
Poor black kids are not ignored. Rich white kids are not "forced" in there (not if they live in the zone). The increase in test scores is not "artificial".
Making the success of a particular school about liberals and conservatives is what is wrong with our country right now.

PP, I'm sorry but this sort of reaction is the reason we found living in Old Town to be awful. People are ridiculous snobs in Alexandria. Just go to Society Fair in the middle of the day and listen to the ridiculous conversations. It's mind boggling.

There are statistics to corroborate some statements and not others.

I'm happier with the education received this year than DC world have received at the private. The two teachers are far and away better prepared, the curriculum is more exacting and s/he gets incredible attention due to smaller class size. TAG for language arts and Mark had meant a lot of advanced work for grade level. All in all, I am very happy with our decision
Ignoring the people who aren't adding anything productive to the conversation, what's TAG and Mark?
Mark=math
For all those making rude and ridiculous assumptions about my intentions or situation, you are all wrong. Not a realtor, no one has lost a job, not delusional. Just providing my opinion about the school in the hopes of showing that going there is not the end of the world, your child will learn, the teachers are excellent, and little larla/o is not going to come home with either a shiv or a vocabulary out of urban dictionary.
I would hazard to guess that those who make wild assumptions have absolutely no clue what they're talking about.
