I like John Delaney. He has already announced he is running in '20 and his more moderate bi-partisan cooperation message should be appealing to the large numbers of non-crazy Rs and non-uber-liberal Ds. He's not the most inspiring public speaker but there is time for him to work on that and his message and background (successful business person) are broadly appealing and seem good for our country.
I am a D. I will evaluate each democrats running in primary carefully for their policy and records and chose the best one. I would also vote for Hillary enthusiastically again if she gets past primary. There is nothing wrong with her (and in fact she is amply fit) unless you have bought into all the nonsense that is pushed by right-wing media amplified by Russian/other enemy trolls.
But I do not think she is inclined to run again.
^^^ Case in point. This is a liberal.

If they run and win primary (I will not vote for them in primary), I will assure you that I would vote for them happily because of their position with policies.

I do not think DNC did any poor job. There are at least 10 or more qualified person I can think of. It is just that some people cannot see past Biden/Sanders. I believe Duckworth, Gillibrand, Ted Lieu, Warren, Booker, Kamala Harris, O'Malley, Cuomo, Blasio, Chris Murphey, Schiff, Tim Kaine, Eric Salwell Michelle Obama or Klobuchar would be a fine President.
With a couple of exceptions, this is a pretty sorry bunch of potential candidates - most are not electable.
The only ones I like and would be willing to vote for are shown in bold. I'd also vote for Mark Warner. I am not sure any of them- with the possible exception of Biden - could defeat Trump assuming the economy is doing well.
Michele Obama? What are her qualifications, being a first lady she got to watch her husband try to run the country? Why are you leaving Oprah out? She has more popular support than all of those weak candidates combined.
I think Michelle Obama is electable. Two factors must go into anyone we nominate: qualification and electability - and the latter is more important than the former.
Please lay out the first one, what are Michelle Obama's qualifications?
What are trump's?

I feel like all of you idiots have to be Republicans. I can think of nothing less likely than HRC running again. You all are just convinced she's the narcissistic devil you've been told she is so can't see how incredibly dumb and masochistic that would be.

He's atoned for his sins. Let the people vote.
I am a democrat that would vote for a monkey over trump but would be appalled if the D's nominated Franken. Almost appalled enough to say eff them all as a woman.
I understand that and I think it would be a mistake to nominate him.
I also think he got railroaded. The woman who accused him conveniently went on to be paid by conservative media. I am not convinced it happened as she claims. I mean, based on the evidence presented, he had to resign, but it is all very suspect.
Seven women. Of varying political dispositions. Are you a man or a woman? I'm really over the brand of liberal man that rises up to defend people like Franken.
OK, I'm going to be honest that I had actually forgotten that the other allegations happened. I was going through a personal crisis at that point and hadn't tracked this as closely as some others.
I just read the Time article about the accusations. several of his accusers were unnamed. I still am not sure even those named rose to the level of him losing his seat. If the allegations are true, yes, he's skeevy. I just still feel like some of this was overblown.
He did the right thing resigning as quickly as he did. He just never had a chance to try to disprove anything.

President Hottie
If he runs , I would vote for him for being tough as nail!
He’s an interesting dark horse
Highly photogenic, does not have political baggage and not scared of bad publicity. He would kill Trump's rating game pretty quickly. Election would be crazy though!
Michael Avenatti is also highly intelligent as well as being telegenic and well spoken. He would get great ratings.

He will demand that these scandals get media coverage. He will run a smart and efficient campaign. We just really need someone who will not hold back on Trump. I don’t know why Hillary did not attack him harder. I also think he could be great at connecting with young voters, which will be crucial. Unless there is someone else like him out there, but with more political experience, I think it has to be him.
That said, I will likely get behind whoever Obama endorses. I think he will know better than anyone else who has a shot at beating Trump and will do what he can to move that person forward. Ot will be interesting to see who he ends up supporting.
You are out of your fricking mind! Unless you are a Republican who wants us to nominate a disaster. I'd rather see Hillary run again than Avanetti.
Avenatti was virtually unknown until March 2018. Now we are debating if he has a shot at the presidency. Hottie Avenatti 2020 #basta and all that.
