I think JA was raised primarily by a narcissistic mother, who told her she was unattractive her whole life than was jealous of her once she hit it big and promptly sold her out. My impression is that her dad, a pleasant enough person, simply wasn't around. I think this negative experience colored her decision not to be a single mom. And, yeah, seems clear AJ is recreating the same dynamic she experienced growing up. She believes those kids are HERS and thought she could ice Pitt out. Good thing he went to the courts to intervene. It's obviously better for the kids to have a healthy relationship with their father. If it were up to Jolie, doubt that would happen.

Disagree. He has given her plenty of rope that she has used against herself. He has also acted in the children's best interest, PR-wise.

I am a big brad pitt fan but I strongly agree. Almost all leaks in the aftermath of the original event seem to have come from his camp as they try to paint him in the better light. This case was supposed to be sealed, who do you think leaked the 'AJ accused of parental alienation' bit.

At the end of the day it takes two to tango and it takes a LOT to get a judge to restrict your access to your kids like this. I think his behavior was a lot worse than has been reported. I hope for the sake of the kids he can clean up and she can figure out how to be amicable and they can both go on to be good parents to their kids.

CNN said they got the info sure tilt from the court record and that it wasn't sealed.

I don't understand why people keep bringing up Jennifer. Yes, Angelina's nuts, but it's not like Brad's only two options are Jennifer or Angelina.

They really were not married that long. It was only a few years. She said that after Friends ended they planned to start a family, but their marriage was already on the rocks by then.

It's really not that farfetched to think that when she was married, she wanted children, but once she was no longer married, the trajectory changed and she was not interested in being a single parent.

Jennifer Aniston said in an interview once that she did not want to be a single parent, and that she hoped to become a mother (and tried) during her second marriage. But she married an immature guy who was away working during the bulk of that second marriage, and unsurprisingly it didn't last long. Had Brad not left her, or had she picked a better partner the second time, I think she'd be a mom. Life, combined with some poor choices, meant the bio/two-parent model didn't work out for her. It wouldn't surprise me if she adopted at some point in the next few years, but it also wouldn't surprise me if she's decided she's aged out of it and given up.

Obviously, I don't know her; but she appears very disinterested in children. I can't think of one picture that I've ever seen of her holding a child or the hand of a child. She's just always posing for a camera, either alone or with her SO at the moment of the picture.

PP here. I didn't say she had to advertise it or volunteer with kids. I was asking out of curiosity. Will stick to my comment that I've never seen her in a picture with a child, other than for a movie. That's not typical of the women I know who want kids.

THen I guess you don’t know any women who really wanted kids but will never have any. For many of these women it’s too painful to be around kids. Just like for many of these women they become active volunteers with children or are actively a part of their friends kids lives. And, yes, it is too late for her to have her own biological kids unless she got some eggs frozen. Also, just bc she can afford it doesn’t mean she wants to be a single mother with adopted kids. If she did that then I’m sure everyone would be saying she copied AJ.

Not true at all, but I certainly realize everyone responds differently to painful, sad realities.

I always thought it was horrible of Brad Pitt to dump her for his younger, more beautiful co-star.
In the beginning, both he + Angelina Jolie lied so much so they wouldn’t look like bad people to their public.

Remember Angie denying a romance w/Brad by saying she had enough suitors, that she didn’t need Brad.
And when she adopted Zahara, she stated that that had “nothing” to do w/Brad.
Later on, she conceded that Zahara was adopted as their first child together.
And look how they acted during their premiere of “Mr. & Mrs. Smith.”
They stayed separate except for a kindly handshake w/each other.

The worst she called Angie was “uncool.”
She kept her mouth shut & didn’t show any contempt toward the couple.
It must have killed her seeing Brad move on so quickly while she had no one.

I think she did want children w/Brad.

She even told Vanity Fair magazine that she would have children someday.
I guess it just never worked out due to her failure to secure a faithful partner to parent with.

Or it could be that she wants kids, but does not want to go through fertility treatment or a surrogate so she has accepted not having children.

Some women do feel this way.

Those aren't the only options.

They kind of are if you want your own biological baby.

Becoming a mother is not limited to biology.
