NP. Or some of us spent years (and tens of thousands of $) trying to have our first...who arrived many years after we would have liked. You have no idea why someone had their kids when they did.
Nielsen already has *5* grown adult children. She apparently had no problem getting pregnant during her child bearing years.
She ran into troubles getting her menopausal, older body impregnated. That time comes for every woman.
It sounds as though she made it through the delivery and, as far as I'm aware, her baby is o.k. She is extremely lucky. No way would I want to go through pregnancy and childbirth in my 50's. I really think that's she's quite likely done some permanent damage to her own health with this pregnancy and that she has very likely lowered her own lifespan.
Where is your medical degree from?

Flavor freaking Flav for goodness sakes. I wonder if people would be as supportive if she was having that coot's kid and not her Italian boytoy. Methinks not lol
And then she basically was a crackhead on Celebrity Rehab.
I'd be concerned at someone with her judgment having a kid at ANY age. Y'all are bonkersssss!

Well maybe in bumbf*ck Idaho or wherever you're from that's typical--but here in the big city, I was 44 with 2 2 year olds and had my 3rd at 45. Get over yourself.
uhhh...you are aware that 45 is not 54, right?
I'm 2 years younger than Brigette Nielsen and I think she's nuts for a having a baby at her age when she already has adult children. There will be a 34 year age difference between her oldest child and her youngest child. She will be 88 years old when her youngest is 34.
What’s your point? When my dad was 88, I was 39. He was sharp as a tack until he died 2 years later. We had years of quality time together.
You were very lucky to have a dad who was sharp as a tack, and I'm assuming healthy and independent, until he died at the age of 90. Just be aware that there are nursing homes full of elderly people who are a decade or more younger than your father was when he died.
Bridget Nielsen has the good fortune of having 4 healthy, adult children who will very likely be giving her grandchildren soon if they haven't already. She will quite literally be of retirement village age on her next birthday. Why on earth does she need to be pregnant at her age? Doesn't she realize that she very literally looks like a pregnant senior citizen which is just bizarre and will get no less bizarre as she continues to age? What exactly is she trying to prove? What happens if she has some sort of major health setback during labor and delivery? Will it be up to her adult children to take care of the baby while they try to find appropriate care for their mother?
And do realize, that while your dad likely naturally fathered you, Bridgette Nielsen has almost certainly had some sort of heavy duty medical intervention to make this pregnancy happen. She's selfish.
My dad was 30 and my mom was 27 when I was born. They both died before I turned 35. Life and death are unpredictable. Pp sounds like she had an amazing life with her father and she enjoyed a few more years with him than I got with my own amazing dad.
I'm sorry that you lost your parents when they were still so young. but I don't think you realize just how difficult it could be for you now if you were dealing with an 80+ year old parent's nursing home issues while trying to manage the demands of babies and toddlers at home yourself.
Bridgette Nielsen will be in her 72 by the time her youngest child finishes HS, 76 by the time her youngest graduates from college which is around the age of life expectancy....
she will have five kids; they will figure something out
also few people would choose not to have been born in order to avoid being stressed out in their fifties
This kid will be 26 with an 80 year old mother. Not 50.
26 year old are not kids. if 26 year old is upset by how old her mother there are bigger problems there.
She'll be 16 with a 70 year old mother.

No clue what this has to do with Brigitte Nielsen. She had a partner, several in fact, had kids in her 20s/30s, and had a successful career. You're using this thread as an excuse to bash older mothers, but none of what you said applies to the subject of this thread.

Wow thats old. You could be their grandma. Obviously these weren't spontaneous pregnancies.
It's so obvious when people have twins with a first pregnancy in their 40's and I'd bet money that she used donor eggs. The defensiveness gives it away.
I agree with this. Bragging about having two 2 yo olds and a 3rd at 45 is ridiculous. And then saying that someone is from bumble**** Idaho can't appreciate that is just weird. Most women in this situation have been married no more than two years more than their oldest kid so they rushed the family planning to prove that you can have it all.
