Mid 30s female and did this plenty in college. Not even sure how many times, but it sometimes led to a FWB situation.

I went home with a guy in Miami once when visiting friends and then met up with him a few more times when I would go down to visit.

I kissed a guy I met in a bar on a trip oversees once, long ago. Was at the bar, though, and ended after some light making out. It was pretty tame. Was early 20s.

I did bring a guy home once in college after hanging out at a bar. He and friends were dancing on a table at the last call song and everyone was acting goofy af. It was a lot of fun so I asked if he wanted to come back to my place. It was kind of awkward and he left after a bit, because all we did was sit and talk and kiss a little. I think neither of us really knew what we were doing or really wanted to be there after the crazy bar stuff wore off and we were calmed down and less inebriated.

Ha. The people you meet on these internet sites are more strangers to you than a person you meet, talk to, dance with at a bar. Physical chemistry does not come through on a computer screen the way it does in a face to face meeting.

With internet dates, you may have read their dating profile but that does not mean that you actually know them or that what they have said about themselves is even true.

In many ways, I think that the mutual attraction of a bar hookup is way more honest than internet dating.

39 M. I have never picked up anyone but was picked up by a women at Hard times Cafe in springfield. I smoked up with her but didn’t go all the way. At age 37, with two kids, a BJ cost a helluva lot than in your 20s.

Um, all this thread proves is that guys who read DCUM aren't apt to have done it/do it. I seriously doubt men who pick up women at bars read DCUM...why would they when they're out picking up women at bars instead of in bed at 9 on a Friday night ignoring their wife while they play on their iPads?

About 12 times in my life, I had (consensual) activities with people where there was no ambiguity of the state on interest (trying to keep this non-explicit) with people within two to three hours of meeting them. These include when I was 17 and she was 14 on vacation, at a family motel; multiple times picking up girls while I was playing video games, watching a parade (at madris gras), and a Middle Aged woman flirting with me and all at Waikiki.

In all but the last one, I probably made the first move.

In most of these, they could have had my DNA....

I never had, but not because I wouldn't have in my 20s. I was more of a serial monogamist and wasn't single long. Had a long-term boyfriend for all of college and met my husband at 24. In between I had a FWB and made out with guys I met in bars but didn't go home with anyone I didn't already know.

58 and it only happens once when I was 25. Been divorced for 10 years and NEVER came close. My theory is that 90% of the women go home with 10% of the men. The rest of us men have to use a different approach

I'm a guy who has never been able to pull this off. I suppose I have no game either. I used to feel bad about this, like I was lacking somehow, but I've gotten over it recently. I have had plenty of women interested in me, but they tend to know me for a while before they start thinking of me that way. More of the nerdy funny guy who grows on you than the hot gym guy whom drunk girls want to jump. I have come to accept that the types of women interested in me are the ones who are somewhat shy themselves and not into quick hookups.
