Maybe DC folks are that enlightened, and can focus on other things and teams, but it makes for a dull sports town.

I wanted to hate the Knights pomp and circumstance, I really wanted to: A band? Fake jousting? Screen projection full size on the ice? A giant knight helmet? Imagine Dragons performing the National Anthem? AND an F35 flyover? Are you effing kidding me? THIS is hockey? But my God, that team, one year young, pulls off that excess like no one else. Plus, where in the hell did they get the privilege and luck to draft such great players? How did that happen? Who on earth thought to put a HOCKEY team in Vegas? The whole thing worked brilliantly! I did not want it to, but it did!
If Washington fans were not so fair weather and insufferable, I could get on board with their side, but they make it so.....unappealing.
