Does this have to be "couple" thing? I mean, I am all for letting my husband have a fun weekend with his BF. Do I need to come along with my husband? Why? I mean, I'd go if my husband asked me, but I will stay maybe 1 hr at most. It's not like I don't like BF's wife or anything, I just don't see and need to bond with BF' wife just because she is husband BF's wife.

In retrospect, would you meet your wife's BF's husband on a family/couple weekend gathering, all day/hours long and you know it your wife's BF's husband and you don't click at all.

Your only choice now is to go on that vacation!

Op you shouldn’t be spending so much time on relationships with people who flake out on you and don’t meet your expectations of what you would like the friendship to look like. You’re fighting an uphill battle.

I don’t think anyone in this scenario is right or wrong, it just is what it is.

They are just not into you OP. Just accept it and move on. Keep seeing friend alone if that works. DH and I have “couple friends” and we have his friends and my friends, meaning we see them mostly 1:1.
