Trump can't get rid of the Asylum process sorry.
Asylum...economic asylum....free higher education....free medical care...free/reduced cost housing....stipend for limited amount of time....free college consortium benefits...free college boards fees....free dental care...free job training...free furniture...free food bank...free mattresses...free (reduced cost) computers...don’t even get me started on the financial deals...hmm hmm hmm...where do I send my unemployed family members who are put at the end of the line because employers in their area get kick-backs for hiring refugees?
Asylum seekers have been determined to be allowed to stay due to humanitarian issues. It is an immigration status that arose as a result of WWII.
They are also as a group put far more back into the country than they take. And they are required to pay back all kinds of stuff.
Refugees are not asylum seekers. Although have similar ROI for the country.
If you have unemployed family members in an economy with 4% unemployment they're doing something wrong.
I totally agree. I can’t make people leave where they grew up.

Maybe, it is. But, I have never seen it reported before. Do they always have reporters with them?
Asylum seekers are not illegal immigrants. Frequently their stories are profiled since they are usually compelling and awful
Then they should apply BEFORE they try to come here. They should hire non-profit immigration attorneys to file the paperwork for them. There are laws and they need to be followed. It would be amazing if they could come into the country and have jobs waiting for them. We need a strong workforce and we can’t break the backs of those who are in the lower middle class to welcome newcomers into the middle class.
You have to be physically present in the US in order to apply for asylum.

Get a better job, heifer. Maybe then you won’t envy dirt-poor migrants. I mean, damn.
Try re-reading the post. Not me. My family members. If I recall you assholes are the ones angry about people helping their families secure jobs. Make up your mind. Get outside the beltway and out of this area. Some nationalities NEVER got an extra dot on their admissions file but were fully expected to pay for every group of newcomers to become well-educated to the point the census categories have changed multiple times to reflect changes. Trust me...Trump will win again - no problem.

It needs to stop.

I think it is mean for the organizers of the procession of people to get this group’s hopes up. They used this group of people. And it sucks. Don’t blame that on my President.
Just stop. The organizers have been doing this annually on Easter for the last 10 years. They didn't use anybody. The only person who got used was your president, by Fox news.

If something has CHANGED in the country the non-profit organizers are seeking to emigrate to....they are using these poor people. I will not back down. This is an abuse and this non-profit isn’t helping them at all knowing conditions on the ground have changed. The non-profit should be financially held accountable for the chaos they created for this photo-op they sought to create. Total BS.

Still trying to figure out how 1500 persecuted people in need of asylum got together. Did they run an ad?

Signify with a +1 if you are willing to put a family of 4 up in your house and pay $15k per child per year to MoCo, DCPS Arlington for the children’s public education. I’m sure you can absord all the other costs.
It sounds as though you all are really good religious folks. Lets see a show of +1s Liberals!!!!!
I am not willing to put up a family from appalachia in my house. That does not mean I object to them moving here. Believing someone should be allowed to migrate is not the same as offering them housing. This "put them up in your house" thing is the stupidest right wing meme.
I’ll put you down as a -1 Devil Lover.
I don't care what you "put me down" as, but your meme remains idiotic. We have a had a policy of accepting refugees since the late 1940s (in response to our failure to take in enough refugees during WW2). That policy never offered free housing. It allowed people to enter the country, To get housing, people worked and paid rent, or moved in with relatives, or were helped by non profit orgs.
I don’t really want my taxes to support border patrol dealing with giving political amnesty to global non-profits’ chattel to U.S. nonprofit bank account pipeline anymore, I’ll put you down for one family of five! You sound generous!
What are you drinking?
Filtered water...It could be the lead poisoning.
Lol. That pp does not know that McConnell’s wife is beholden to China and their money, and that Paul Ryan became phenomenally wealthy in Congress, which tells you he’s on the take as well
Lol? Who hasn’t gotten wealthy over these years who works and doesn’t have brain damage? Beholden to China? Because she’s CHINESE? Oh Honey. Sit down, it’ll pass.

Are you sure our government isn’t housing refugees and illegals? And that they get no benefits?
I can't vouch for every housing program or benefit program in the country. But that misses the point - those asserting rights for refugees to COME here may or MAY NOT believe they should get any govt benefits - the mere fact of wanting them admitted does not mean you need to be prepared to host them personally in your home.
So you want them but don’t want to care for them. Not in My Backyard - literally. This is why we can’t believe liberals.
Well if you oppose abortion, does that mean you need to take a couple of extra babies?
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:How are they being "carried" by a caravan if they are walking on foot, some 900 miles south of the border?
Follow the story. They are getting on trains, too. This is an orchestrated effort by a group from California.
So Trump knows this is happening. What is he going to do about it? What has he done so far other than tweeting about DACA?
The two executive orders hit like a freight train, coming just five days after the inauguration. They were Mr. Trump’s first major orders, following through on one of his biggest campaign themes and attempting to reverse years of Obama administration policy, when the government looked the other way on most illegal immigrants.
?
In one order, the new president directed immigration agents to expand the limits on who should be deported and begin fining companies that employ illegal workers, pleaded for better cooperation between localities and federal agencies, prescribed financial punishments for sanctuary cities, demanded that foreign countries take back their own deportees, and called for the creation of an office to represent victims of illegal immigrant crimes.
And so what is Trump doing about this convoy? What you wrote doesn't tell me how he is planning to stop them from coming in. Those directives have been in place for several months, and it hasn't stopped that convoy from making their way here. So, again, how exactly is he going to prevent them from crossing the border? What is his plan? Does he have a plan or will he just blame liberals?
The tweets worked, especially the one tying it to NAFTA.
The Mexican Government moved in today and is shutting it down. A few (pregnant women were mentioned) will get 30 day or 7 month visa's, the rest are being deported back out of the country, I wish we could move that fast.
