Um, no. I have female friends married to men who don't want to have sex regularly. Low T, weight gain, work stress, etc. These men loose their sex drive.

What your friends apparently do not know is that even low T men masturbate consistently. They lack the desire or ability to perform with women, but they still choke the chicken.

I also agree that some women who are not having sex actually want sex, just not with their husbands. If your husband is a crabby dick most of the time, who would want to have sex with that. These women have sex with themselves, but no longer desire their spouses.

It does seem easier for men to have sex with a spouse they don't really like. Women would rather just have sex with themselves, or another.

Sex is necessary. If she's denying you sex, the "other reasons" you care about her become increasingly unimportant. Not to mention, willingness to have sex is the leading indicator that she cares about you. If she's refusing sex, that means she doesn't care about you. As a result, quite naturally and inevitably you stop caring about her as well.

I would love a relationship and would make time for one, but I haven't met a guy naturally and online dating can take an enormous amount of time for an uncertain payoff. So many of my friends have been online dating for YEARS and not found someone good yet. It would require me literally spending every moment of free time I have away from my child, instead of spending that time working out, fulfilling my volunteer obligations, keeping my house going, seeing my friends or just having some decompression time. I don't want to spend every spare night auditioning guys at Starbucks or the bars.

Dating in your 40's is hard when you have a kid and aren't a supermodel. Every guy I meet is either married, attached to one of my friends, is too young for me (under 35) or there isn't an attraction there. I had a normal dating life in my 20's and 30's, until I had my child.

I feel like you're damned if you do and damned if you don't. If you have sex with random hookups, you're a slut and people tell you that you'll catch herpes. If you don't have sex with random people, they imply there's something wrong with you that you can go without sex.

The contempt that these dudes have for women who don’t want to f*ck them is pretty horrifying. I get that sex is very important to you, but for the most part, these are your wives you’re talking about. Do you not care about them for other reasons?

Intellectually I understand what each of these "exhibit" posts is saying. She wants to be pursued by an attractive man who meets her selection criteria A-Z and fits into her busy schedule. THEN she will have (and enjoy) sex.

My point is that this is not at all what a male would consider to be a "sex drive". It's more like "sex long-term-parking". My posts are not intended to be offensive, just that women truly are from a different planet when it comes to interest in sex.

I'm not into having a FWB
I'm not interested in online dating
I do not want to hook up with random barflys

So that takes me out of the running for a lot of potential sexual encounters. I have my kids all but a few weeks throughout the year, so the chance I'll meet someone "organically" are low, realistically.

But here's hoping sex comes to me sooner rather than later

No you missed the point. She’s not willing to have sex with someone she’s not in a relationship with. It’s not that she can’t find time formsex; she doesn’t have time for a relationship. For her, the relationship is more important than just having sex. It’s not insufficient motivation. It’s life.
