What about your heart?
You may not be diagnosed with anything now, but down the road, your heart could be in very bad shape.
It’s not safe.
Nothing is safe anymore. Might as well be thin and confident.
Or you could exercise....that's actually good for you...and I say this as a chubby chick. I am trying to do it the "right way."
I am the one who took Qysimia to lose 70 lbs. Actually, I lost the first 30 with it and then got off. Why are you harping on it so much? It is a tool and if it gets people the start they need, why not use it. If I could have done it without the pills I would have a long time ago. OF COURSE, I exercised and ate right. Pounds don't just come off because you take the pill. But it gave me the energy boost that I needed plus it was easier to make a choice between the burger and a salad.
I'm not the only one bringing up the heart issue...i think this drug is unhealthy. And the idea that being thin and confident is better than risking a heart attack is really twisted.
That’s the other fen.

Anonymous wrote:Just FYI, intermittent fasting has had the same effect on my hunger and emotional eating as some of you describe this medication might have. If you haven't yet tried it, it's free, has no unhealthy side effects (if don't properly), and might be worth trying before you go on a medication with lots of side effects.

2. Defensive much?
3. Yes all drugs have side effects. It's well known that aspirin can cause stomach ulcers. It can also prevent heart attacks. You have to weigh the risks vs benefits. So if you are morbidly obese..probably worth it. I just objected when someone just wanted to look better and not nec. B.c they were having health problems because of their weight.
This is a diet forum. If you don't like people talking about medically supervised weight loss that includes short-term drug prescriptions, perhaps you should find another forum rather than continually derailing the discussion here.
Look, I had an MI at age 39. No risk factors. No high blood pressure, obesity, diabetes, clotting disorder, heart defect, atherosclerosis etc. It was just caused by stress.
It was super scary and I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Esp not to lose 10 lbs to look confident in a bikini.
