Just got mine today and holy moly! I have thick, wavy hair that usually takes 40 minutes to blowdry. I let my hair 80% dry today, used some BB blowout creme and my hair only took 15 minutes with this gadget. Next time, I will put a little volumizer spray on my roots bc they were a little flatter than I like but overall this is a huge find for me.

Hair type for reference: tons of regular (as in not fine or coarse) hair that is naturally very wavy

I bought and returned the Revlon brush. It was fine but not great and I felt like I still needed to flat iron my hair when done to control the poof. I just got the Dyson and have been playing with it for a few days. It is definitely a beauty gadget but is very fun. It's huge. If you are used to the Revlon brush, it may not seem so big but if you were just using a round brush with your blow dryer it is huge. I love the round brush attachment and find it very easy to use. The curler portion is fun but I haven't test the longevity compared to curling iron curls. I plan to play with it for a bit longer before deciding if it is worth the money.

My first Revlon volumizer was incredibly loud, to the point where I wore earplugs while using it. It also got extremely hot and after a couple of months, its bristles started falling out. It then died one year after purchase.

Well, guess what? Pretty sure it was counterfeit. I purchased it on Amazon. Bought a replacement and it isn’t nearly as loud, isn’t as hot, and the bristles are fine, six months after purchase. Just a word to the wise if you’re buying on Amazon.

I have the same kind of hair and was very dubious that this would work for me. I thought it would be like those heated brushes that claim to straighten your hair (they don't do a thing for me). How wrong I was! I find this works best for me if I keep turning the chunk of hair, spinning the dryer around several times to get it really smooth and silky. I can't just run it through quickly and expect a good result - I have to really torch each section. I know that's probably not good for my hair, but I'm another one who only shampoos once every 4-5 days and I always use a heat protectant, so I feel it's worth it. My hair has never looked better or been more manageable and I haven't used a straightening iron since I bought this, over a year ago.

I let my hair naturally dry around 75% then spend about 5 min with the dryer. I do all the other stuff- face, get dressed, etc.. and then finish the hair off and it like I had a professional blow dry. Doesn't dry my hair out at all.

I let my hair air dry to about 80% before using the Revlon thingy. And I have very curly, frizzy hair. When I'm ready to dry it, I spray it lightly with water to get it somewhat damp again, and then it only takes me about five minutes to fully dry/smooth it. This thing has changed my life!

Ha, so true! Love that dryer. My hair looks like it's been professionally blown out when I use it, which I have *never* been able to achieve on my own.

Have not tried these but there are some good videos on YouTube by Milabu. She has one where she does the Dyson AirWrap vs Revlon one-step on her hair. I like her videos because her hair is slightly wavy, and you can see the tools smoothing out the hair.
She also has a video where she tests out the John Frieda and compares it to several others that are similar...it’s a testing out revolutionary hair dryers and stylers video
