Why do you think you are too old?

That was my question and I guess it was silly. I really want to do this and was just thinking this is something too trendy or more for younger people and it is an investment (I often feel like I am one of the older people in the spin classes I go to). But I went to Peloton and the guy I spoke to said his most common customer is mid-40s on up. Going to go for it and I am psyched -- the bikes are beautiful!

I am one of the PP who bought one recently and I am very happy with it. I use it multiple times per week, sometimes twice a day (ride and weight class). I just wish the live rides went later at night.

I got mine a week ago, having never set foot in a spinning class but tried a Peloton at PT and was immediately hooked.

Unfortunately am recovering from ortho surgery and can't really go at things very hard yet, but I did try one 15-minute class and have done scenic rides.

I am a sucker for metrics and stats and competition, so am looking forward to that aspect when I am healed. But I'm also a massive introvert and have zero interest in actually being in a room with other people.

I wish I would hurry up and be recovered!

I did that class too! It was a ton of fun, I was smiling while I was doing it.

How do you know what type of ride is what? And what music is being played in the class?

I was glancing through the site and it's hard to tell (though I'm new and maybe just not looking in the right place. What's a DJ ride (referenced above) and what kind of music?

For any "On Demand" ride you can find a category: by music, length, type, instructor, etc. It's really handy. A DJ ride just features a live DJ standing next to the spin instructor. There is a huge variety of types of rides and types of music. I love the fact that there are varying lengths of rides.

I don't understand this question. Too old at 50 to get a spin bike? In what possible way would this be too old to invest in your health?

Question: Does the subscription include app access? The site says you get the app for free with your first year subscription, but I assume that continues if you continue to pay for the subscription....

Same here. What do you think?

Yes. You get app access with the subscription (even after the first year).

LMAO! Their commercials are definitely aspirational. Your post made me laugh out loud!

Same. Their ads are for Silicon Valley / LA folks
