I wonder who benefits from that.

Bob Corker. Not kidding.

And Donald Trump, bigly.

Yep. How to turn Ohio blue in a heartbeat? Get the suburban Cleveland and Cincy voters aligned with East Cleveland and other predominately African-American voters.

That's actually been predicted. Dems wouldn't want to vote for the bill if their votes actually were the ones that put it over the line, but if the Rs can get it done on their own, the D's will then vote "yes."

You've got to fucking be kidding! Do you realize the 70+percent of the country hates it?

This is the last ditch effort for our is to take all the money they can as the Titanic is sinking.

So what? The majority of the country was opposed to Obamacare, and the Dems voted for it anyway.

I bet there will be at least two yes votes from Dems.....maybe more.

The majority of the country is for the ACA now and is opposed to the lifting of the individual mandate in this bill.

Lesson for the day: if you are a R, hold out for entitlement, and they can buy your vote.

You mean they learned from the Democrats, whose campaign strategy for the past 50 years has been "vote for us, and we'll give you lots of free stuff"? Remember how that woman stood up in a Town Hall and said she understood that Obama would pay off her mortgage?

I once asked a friend from a poor family whom her parents voted for while she was growing up.. She said they voted for whoever would give her family the most money, and that was always the Democrats.

I’m confused. So you do not like the Democrats, yet you’re glad the Republicans are doing the very thing you accuse Dems of? I think in the end the Rs will win the battle of “who can drive up the deficit the most.” How ya gonna pin THAT on Obama?

Oh wait! That’s right, trickle down economics will solve everything. Gullible fools.

It's not the same thing. Dems simply purchase votes by handing out free stuff to poor people. A bribe, basically. Corporate tax reform put forth by the Rs, on the other hand, will boost the economy and benefit everyone.

History says this isn't so.

+1. Also, economists say it isn’t so.

The high local property tax areas are outside the urban core and many like Chagrin Falls have NJ level taxes BUT those types of areas have very small school districts, perhaps their own police force, etc. Not comparable to MOCO or Fairfax. So MOCO and FX are high also but cover social services for a varied population as well education costs.

It would be hilarious if any Democratic senators voted for the tax bill because they may want to argue to their constituents that they are voting for lowering taxes but ........ they would also be voting to repeal the individual mandate which is the foundation for the financial viability of the ACA.
