A good friend of mine lived on Rosie Gordon's street in Burke and was about 9 at the time she died so played often with Rosie. she said until then it had been a free range neighborhood where all the kids just roamed and played and then overnight everyone got a lot more strict (understandably).

I want to know what happened to Madeleine McCann. The sad thing about that case is the parents doing it would be a "better" outcome than the possibility she is still alive and was trafficked at age 4

Wow. I just listened to the 911 call many times, and skimmed through the Reddit thread. Will listen to the podcast tomorrow.

Me too. This case breaks my heart every time I drive through the area where they lived (I live not too far). That poor family. I'm not a religious person but I've prayed for that family.

Me too. This case breaks my heart every time I drive through the area where they lived (I live not too far). That poor family. I'm not a religious person but I've prayed for that family.

Amy Baker, 18 years old, March 29, 1989 her car ran out of gas on a 95 exit ramp in Springfield, VA. Her body was later found in the woods. Police at the time were looking for a blue Ford Escort and a dark Buick that had been seen in the area around the time of her murder.

Rosie Gordon, 10 years old, snatched while biking around her neighborhood in Burke, VA on July 2, 1989, her body was discovered laying in a wooded residential area just miles away. Rosie's friend mentioned that a man in a blue car had followed her and Rosie earlier that day.

Melissa Brannen, 6, disappeared from a Christmas party in Lorton, VA on Dec 2, 1989. She has never been found but a man named Caleb Hughes was arrested and convicted of her murder.

It has always bothered me that these 3 girls all disappeared within months of each other. I don't know if there were other disappearances nearby during that same time period or not.




OH NO! Maybe these murders are linked to10 year old Amy Mihaljevic who was abducted in Bay Village, OH on October 27, 1989, and found dead in a field 3 months later.

Just realized that I said that Caleb Hughs was convicted of murder but he was convicted of kidnapping with intent to defile. They have still not found Melissa Brannen. I hope that Melissa's whereabouts are determined one day.

I believe this to be true as well. Up until recently I always thought an intruder killed job benet but after watching all the new shows about the case I now believe it was probably the brother. I think he killed her with a flashlight over a piece of pineapple.


Who staged the cover up then? That could not have been the brother.

The mother.

The father didn’t know until he put two and two together, and then he too covered up the coverup to save face.

+1. This one hits home for me because Robert and I were at William and Mary together. We were in the same social circle, but not close friends. But some of my close friends were close friends of his. In fact, I had dinner with one of those friends, Robert, and his wife only a few months before his death. I was living on the West Coast in 2006, and I still remember finding out about his death. I read about it on a blog post on Above the Law. It was truly shocking.
