This thread will go down in history. Poster mistakenly uses term "ingratiate" instead of "ingrained," and 8 pages of arguing ensue because the poster is incapable of admitting to a mistake. I suspect the term "ingratiate" will now find its way erroneously inserted into many future discussions.

Just realised that I am still subject to the assumptions of my fundamentalist upbringing, despite being an apparently modern woman with a profession. Had a major disappointment at work this week that showed me I have prioritised my husband's needs and job over my own. I neglected my priorities in a way that is toxic for both of us and our relationship. Not anymore! Am infuriated with him and myself, but also learning. Just wanted to share, since I assume the sisterhood is active on DCUM!
If you have a 50-50 balance for the most part, it's fine. Of course, there's a +- of 10% here or there.
However, if it's 75-25 in favor of your husband, then yes, I'd worry about your mental health.

Eh. She was calling us sheep, an insult, and also saying that we, pack-like, ganged up on her to attack her and make her back down.
In reality, various posters were informing her that her word usage was incorrect. Neither sheep-like nor wolf-like behavior.
