In terms of rude, I have a difficult time with South Africans. I find them painfully rude.
This. I have a South African friend who is painfully rude. It's hard to watch sometimes. She says it's part of South African culture to gossip and trash talk. She's White and I really don't think she's a racist, but she has said some racially charged stuff even when minorities are a part of the group. Everyone else sits by thinking "did she really just say that?" I like her, but she is definitely an acquired taste.
But where did most of these white SA people come from? Dutch and English, right? I know many white SA people, they are racist to the core.

Lynchings and KKK
That's all you need to say really - long term established torture of minorities.

The difference is, they practice their rudeness freely because guns are illegal in the Uk and the worst that usually happens is someone is rude back or tries to punch them in the face.

Or runs over a crowd with a van.
Europeans are generally far more xenophobic and hostile to immigrants than Americans could ever imagine. When immigrants complain about the US, I advise them to try UK.

We were the first country to abolish slavery, never allowed slavery in the UK, and were instrumental in suppressing the slave trade.
Oops. Better check on those facts in British-occupied Africa.

As someone who has lived in Britain, I completely agree with this. The Scottish, especially, are wonderful people. The English, not so much. Very rude and condescending.
