The teachers were asked to write their own bios and were only given a couple of days on their time off.

Teaches get no respect, shocking I know. Every teacher/professional has to have their first year. New teachers can bring a lot of energy and enthusiasm to the classroom. They are often mentored more heavily from seasoned teachers and educational coaches. I'm an elementary school teacher and my students learned to read my first Teaching, just as they do now 16 years later, (plus two masters).
