Whatever. The point is not how he got there, but N. Korea's actions towards this student and the fact they probably killed him. I want to know why he was left there to literally die by the Obama administration.
I'm not interested in sending abunch of 18 year olds to fight in North Korea because some spoiled, stupid 20 year old could not stay the frack out of a forbidden zone. It doesn't take a genius to realize that NK is off limits for tourism. The Chinese don't even go there for vacation
And I'm not going to have one whit of empathy for any liberal that lives on Capitol Hill and is attacked, knowing how dangerous the surrounding neighborhood is. That's spoiled and stupid behavior. It doesn't take a genius to realize you could get robbed and killed.
DP. Is someone on this forum actually so stupid that he or she really just compared Capitol Hill to North Korea???
Dear lord.

Oh, come on. The kid was imprisoned for fucking around in a forbidden area and taking down posters. How is that Obama's fault?
I hope he is okay.
Let's start with the concept of 'f*ing around in a forbidden area and taking down posters' and being pulled out of an airport and imprisoned for hard labor over it. Now let's discuss the idea that if he DID contract botulism, how did that taint the North Korean prison food supply? I'm sure it was an accident that the food was bad. Now let's add to that if it wasn't botulism, hard labor in a North Korean prison camp couldn't possibly lead to an accident, heatstroke, hypothermia, etc, right?
Obama, Hillary, left him there to rot. Trump isn't even 6 months into his administration, and the guy is released. And are working on the release of other Americans, as they did prior to this one.
Nobody is saying that it was appropriate for him to be imprisoned and tortured. What we're taking issue with is blaming Obama and Hillary (!! who was not in office!!) for his imprisonment.
I'm happy he's coming home. Too bad Tillerson waited four months to get him out. Maybe he was okay four months ago.
How do you know that negotiation didn't start four month ago?
It started more than four months ago. Just heard a conversation about how this happened.
Evidently, Tillerson took the issue to Trump the first 30 days of office. Trump told him to do whatever he needed to do and that he was behind him with resources needed. Tillerson worked with the Swedes. Once it was discovered that he was in a coma (and supposedly has been for a year), the Swedes arranged for a medical team to check him out. Then, US officials talked with N Korean officials in NY. They convinced them to let us air evacuation him. And, that is the story.
So, it was a win for diplomacy.
This was a priority for this administration.
His parents will be on Tucker Carlson tomorrow at 8:00. They will likely share more information about how everything happened and the condition of their son.
Why wasn't it a priority for Obama? Actual answer please - not some crap about "libtards."

A stupid, overeducated, "liberal elite" college kid, with zero common sense, BTW. Who ignored state department warnings. If Obama had taken military action against North Korea, because some over papmper kid bullied a stupid stunt, they would have crucified him. He doesn't, and they are saying he should have literally started a nuclear war. Now, North Korea may or may not have a nuke that can reach California-- although that's liberal elite territory, and not the real US. But they can absolutely hit Soth Korea. Anyone want to inform our Trumpkins who worship the military but know nothing about geopolitics who many US service members would die if a nuke hit Seoul?
