Jokes were flying about the guys finally getting laid again because once you hit 45 the brakes come on at home. I said "Oh BS, once we became empty nesters (at age 55) the brakes came off". Most of them were stunned and I'm sure they now look at my DW with admiration. Other than that time its not a topic of conversation. I'm extremely happy that I was able to disagree!
Wow, is that true? 40 y/old man here,I assumed once menopause hit, low libido went to no libido.
PP's wife probably maintained her libido. An empty nest isn't going to turn once a month into once a week, but it might turn once a week into 3-4x per week. If you're only having sex once a month, it's not because of the kids. If you're only having sex once a week, it might just be that the kids are holding you back.

Do the guys know?
Not pp, but I could have written it. They know and don't care. I don't see sex as some private thing that should never be discussed. I dont see discussing it as violating privacy. Hell, I'm a little proud that DH's friends know I give amazing blowjobs. I know I'm an outlier with how I view sex, and that's fine by me. There are some friends I don't talk to about it because I know their comfort level is different. But my close friends who I've had for years? Nothing is off the table.

It was more funny than raunchy and while I consider myself to be a bit of a prude I soon realized I had one of the more exciting sex lives in the group. No toys or chains but when I said I love giving my DH a BJ a bunch of the ladies almost spit out their wine in shock.
Too funny. That's because most women hate it. Each to their own though.
Not myself or the women I know. I love doing it. However....if I'm not getting equal attention or it's been awhile since he's treated me, my enthusiasm can be lesss.
