Clearly, that's not happening now.

Fenty's kids got in via Chancellor discretion, not principal discretion.

Actually, you made a pretty easy choice: You asked the chancellor to put your kid in your school of choice, one that has a 1,000-kid waiting list. Someone of her means had multiple options available to her, yet she chose the one that was most unseemly. I don't care if it technically was a legal move on Kaya's part; it doesn't make it any less slimy.

It also mentioned that her kid was previously in a private school.

They should think about re-enrolling.

It makes me really angry because my Spouse, a DCPS employee who works countless hours and devotes their time, money, and energy into a job they love, gets ZERO preference. At least an argument could be made to give DCPS employees some sort of benefit for working there. But nope. In that setting, they go out of their way to prove that there is no preference.
