As for me, I dress for the activity I'm doing.
Cycling=bike shorts, jersey, gloves, etc.
Jogging=running shoes, spandex, maybe a technical shirt from a run
Yoga=yoga pants & tank
Gardening=old shorts & tee, sun hat, and gloves
Work=suit
Etc.
Wearing appropriate gear is not something to make fun of. Just because you don't get it doesn't mean you need to feel threatened by it.
... And you get laughed at every time you ride your little bicycle.

Sorry I left you for my cycling buddy.
Not helping your cause . . .

That would be how ridiculous you look in your branded jerseys, cyclists. You look absurd.

This guy who's exercising and raising $ for MS doesn't care what you think.
God, what a disgusting sight that is. Where's my barf bag.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:OP is spot on - that's why cyclists with their heads in their skin tight man boy shorts end up with broomsticks in their spokes. seen it happen to 1 guy in a pack of big gut men boys in spandex cutting through a pedestrian square.
Okay, OP.

Um, no.
Cyclists are wearing gear appropriate for their activity. A NASCAR driver needs some protection from heat, etc., unlike a "Sunday driver" or commuter.
Do you get this worked up over joggers in spandex or swimmers in caps?
Or tennis players in whites or golfers in Masters polos?
Seriously, OP, all athletes look a little silly in their gear. Doesn't mean it's frivolous or unnecessary or worth making fun of. In fact, the very fact that you are making fun of people who are having fun exercising (often for s good cause) makes you seem a little unhinged.
