The Khan's were using their dead son to garner votes for their candidate. If you insert yourself into a political race you do so willfully, and any push back you receive is on you. We don't know how Cpt Khan felt. The parents were speaking for themselves and their candidates.
Last night, the wife of a fallen SEAL was recognized and honored.
I am astute enough to not be played, and honor those who deserve it.

...the only reason they entered the political arena was because of DJT's blatantly anti-Muslim rhetoric on the campaign trail. Someone had to show that Muslims can also be American patriots. I wish service members and veteran orgs would have spoken up more forcefully to support the Khan's. Instead, most sheepishly remained quiet.
