That was totally untrue. He obviously did call her for approval. Why did she lie?
Again, this is what her people said back in February, and she apparently let that stand until June, only after Kimye said they had proof that a call had actually happened. That's just wrong and a lie.
I wouldn't call the conversation approval. He shared some lyrics he was workshopping. Which he changed. I would call it approval if he shared the song with her manager or PR. And the finished lyrics.
But he clearly DID call her for her approval back in January, whether she gave her approval or not, and her reps denied that in February. Then she didn't say anything about his January call until June, and then only after Kimye said they had a tape of it. What her people said in February was wrong and a lie.
Taylor Swift: "I don't think anyone would listen to that and be like that's a real diss she must be crying. You've gotta tell the story the way that it happened to you and the way that you experienced it. You honestly didn't know who I was before that. It doesn't matter that I sold 7 million of that album before you did that which is what happened, you didn't know who I was before that. It's fine."
Taylor Swift: "And you know, if people ask me about it I think it would be great for me to be like, ‘Look, he called me and told me the line before it came out. Jokes on you guys, We're fine.'
You guys want to call this a feud; you want to call this throwing shade but right after the song comes out I'm going to be on a Grammys red carpet and they're going to ask me about it and I'll be like, ‘He called me.' It's awesome that you're so outspoken about this and be like, ‘Yeah, she does. It made her famous.' Its more provocative to say ‘might still have sex…' It's doesn't matter to me. There's not like one [line] that hurts my feelings and one that doesn't."

Anonymous wrote:unfair of them to release a video. Did Taylor record the call? No. So they're hanging this over her for a month, everyone knows they have a video. Tswift is easy to call out as a liar since she doesn't have a perfect memory of the one phone call from last year. All she knows is she felt (seemingly reluctantly) ok about a song. And then the song changes, she never heard it, and the music video comes out. And THEY are attacking HER for dishonesty? They set this up the whole time. I've heard Kim say crap like if they're talking bad about about you, at least they're talking. She knows all talk = $ and "relevancy" coming her way. Interviews, people who care, more twitter followers for her shilling. Kim will always be desperate. She is even throwing her husband under the bus to get people talking about her.

Anonymous wrote:Meh. Taylor is a disingenuous poser. The jig is up. She can take issue with any and every minute aspect of that song if she chooses, to no avail. She's grasping at straws. She's been exposed as a fake.

From June: "'However, that does not change the fact that much of what Kim is saying is incorrect. Kanye West and Taylor only spoke once on the phone while she was on vacation with her family in January of 2016 and they have never spoken since. Taylor has never denied that conversation took place.'"

She then saw that she had PR opportunity to speak out against it, which was really deceiving, considering she knew and agreed to it. Now she is cowering behind her good girl victim facade.
Where does she agree to it? I hear her thanking Kanye for informing her about it. It's sort of rich to be defending Kanye for saying something so vile about her in public, but then going after Swift for responding to the claim in public. There's such a sexist overtone to all of this.
