You have NO idea if this man's wife wasn't gossiping or complaining about the nanny's car or the parking situation to him. We do not know if his wife knew what he was up to or not.

And until the news divulges the nanny had VA tags it really does not matter that you "know". She still had a parking permit to be there and was not staying over night. Citizens on patrol do not trump the rules if they are being followed. Not sure why people cannot accept this.

I commented earlier about this and I wasn't implying there was a conspiracy-just that this was a case where the malevolence didn't match with the legally applicable penalty. I think this guy's crimes are more disturbing than a teenager taking some eye shadows from the drugstore and its jarring to think of them being equivalent legally-no crazy conspiracy theory involved.

Agree. The borderline stalking and harassment of the nanny that accompanied the theft makes this a bigger deal than someone stealing license plates off of cars for kicks. Him going back to the house the day of his arraignment makes it clear he didn't intend to stop.

With his security clearance could he also be stalking the nanny at her home, would he have access to her personal info? I hope the police watched him and the nanny to make sure she is safe.

Let's not go overboard. He went off the rails in this one instance but is a long-time neighborhood resident with a wife and young children. He never followed, stalked or threatened anyone, even if his actions were bizarre and inexcusable. Parking around the corner from your house on the Hill is nothing out of the ordinary, but then again I might have looked for a different spot on that particular day.

"This one instance" applies only if you mean one "months long campaign involving multiple episodes of theft." The fact that he has a wife and children is quite sad for them, but makes him more of a creep, not less.

All the incidents happened on weekdays in the month of April during the daytime. Highly unlikely he was using PTO over several weeks.
This idiot better have every hour tracked and accounted for work-wise. They will nail him for telecommuting fraud, I guarantee it.

There is not any indicia that this is racially motivated. Do you know if the nanny is a Latina or other minotity? Please stop.

She has a prayer care in Spanish on her dashboard. 99.5% certain she is a Latina. But I'm open to making a friendly wager.

I wonder if he hasn't been doing this to other cars in similar situations. Perhaps maybe someone else did "take his spot" with a visitors pass and how he's out to seek justice for all?
