I don't get this line of reasoning. I totally get not bringing up exclusivity too early for fear of scaring the guy off. But if you want to be exclusive with someone then presumably you have strong enough feelings for that someone to forgo dating other people. No rule of the universe says that you can only stop dating others after you have the exclusivity talk.

I guess what I'm saying is that if I like someone enough to not date others, then I would have no desire to date others, regardless of what talk I have had with the primary person I'm dating.

Just remember to have the talk next time (I don't think this is the woman for you, though I could be wrong), but don't be an asshole to her. Op here. I am established - work at a finance company ( make around300k/net). I own my own home, cars, etc.

I am more of a monogamous person, but I had my share of misguided deeds. I had 6 serious partners, and dated a few others for a few months. I've had about 3 one night stands. In total, I've slept with 12 women. I do have some women chase me just for the lifestyle I can provide them with.

I've had sex with this current women 5-6 times. Used a condom every time. I've never said she was mine and I'm not being possessive. I was just hurt. I agree I should of had the ta lk before now. It was my mistake, and potentially my loss.

Don't beat yourself up over this...shit happens. Just be thankful you did not move to a more serious level(not that she would have done that...or stop seeing this other guy). It's sound like you all were dating and that was not enough for her. There are plenty of women out there who are interested in a more traditional arrangement and would bring it up after a month. Hell there are some women who would not sleep with you for a few months(not recommending that path though). You really do not owe her anything...so keep that in mind. Just one question how did you find out about this site?
