Not true at all.If boundaries shifted South to Hearst and Eaton, there would be plenty of IB space. The problem would be the push back from those zoned out of J,L,M and also from EOTP people who lose the OOB spots.
Was definitely discussed at the endless DME boundary review meetings but no one had the good sense or strength to use some logic and make it happen.
+1. Of course all the JLM pearl clutchers could not see that DME was drinking their milkshakes during the last boundary change. Instead of leaning forward and going on the offensive by actually asking for their boundaries to shrink, they fought the last war instead. The result is overcrowded, too large elementary schools. And a continued free flow of OOB kids from Eaton and Hearst to Deal and Wilson to ensure overcrowding there too. Nice job JLM parents!
