Ha? What kind of woman wants to be a fat and lonely?
Yes, she looks so lonely here with her longtime SO of 20+ years, how sad for her.![]()
Oprah did not try to "have it all." She thought long and hard about marriage and children. She decided that it was not for her. She wanted to be able to realize her dreams, however high they became. Her life is rich in many ways and she does not lack for deep friendships, love, and opportunities to nurture young people. One thing I have learn
With her billions I wouldn't ever get married. She has a great life, has lot's of pet too. Not just Stedman...

Funny I know a lot of women who would love to be on their own with their dog, cat, grown kids, grand kids!

Is it the older women on dcum that are still trying to drill old fashioned ideas of dependency on men into younger women's heads?
I find it so backwards and regressive. Let's not stop our young women from living happy independent lives where they can build a nice for themselves with or without a man!

I do want to be married, but decided not to marry them because they weren't the right fit.

It is interesting that when men do not marry, they are said to have commitment problems. It seems when women do not marry it's an ego thing. I have many single women friends(typical DC) in their late 30's early 40's who just feel they have to date/marry up, but there are not many men who meet their standard of equal or above. They just have really big egos and want the prefect guy because you know they are prefect(LOL). In reality there are many good men and women out there who end up marrying.
